Justin Tordi was a standout baseball player for DP from 1999 -2002.  He set the school record with home runs in a season with 10 and was one of the best fielding shortstops in the state.  Tordi attended the University of Florida on scholarship and helped lead the Gators to their best season in history, which included a trip to the 2005 College World Series. Tordi was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2005 MLB Draft and played four years  in their minor league organization, finishing up with the Carolina Mudcats in 2009.
