Embry Peeples

Embry Peeples came to Dr. Phillips in his junior year and wasted no time etching his name into the DP record book.  He rushed for over 100 yards a game a school-record seven times in his junior season to lead the Panthers to a 9-3 record and a District Championship.  After rushing for 223 yards against Edgewater in the first game of the 2007 season, Peeples was saddled with a nagging foot injury that limited his production the rest of the season but he signed a football scholarship with Georgia Tech in February of 2008.

As a true freshman, Peeples saw significant playing time in Paul Johnson's option offense averaging over eight yards per carry and scored his first career touchdown in the Yellow Jackets' 38-7 victory over Mississippi State. As a senior, Peeples rushed for 481 yards and averaged 10.2 yards per carry and had a career high 110 yards rushing vs. Kansas which included a career-long 63-yard touchdown run. Embry Peeples closed out his college career in the 2011 Sun Bowl vs. Utah where he rushed for 59 yards and caught a 58-yard pass for a season-best 117 total yards.
