Ryan Moore

Ryan Moore is considered to be one of the most talented athletes to come through Dr. Phillips High School. Moore excelled in three sports: Football, Basketball and Track. As a senior, he set football records for most receptions in a game (8), season (50) and career (111) as well as receiving yards in a season (850) and career (2051). Ryan MooreMoore's success in football earned him Parade All-America status and he was widely considered the top prep recruit in the nation, easily the top wide receiver, during the 2001 season. With scholarship offers from every major program, Moore signed with the University of Miami in 2002.

Ryan Moore could have just as easily played college basketball as well. As a four-year starter at DP, Moore finished his career as DP's then all-time leading scorer with 1,362 points, averaging 15.6 per game over the course of his career, 19.8 per game in his senior season.

As a Track athlete, Moore was part of the 2002 squad that finished fourth at the State Championship, while setting school records in the long jump (23' 8"), triple jump (48' 2.25") and as the anchor on the then record-setting 4 x 100m relay (42.01) team along with Corey Russ (Morehouse College football), Chris Hargrett (USA Track and Field) and Chad Cummings (UCF football).
