Women's Soccer blanks West Orange
11/9/2017 7:44:00 AM

Sophomore striker Chloe Washington buried two goals in the back of the net to lead Women's Soccer to a tremendous 2-0 opening game victory over visiting West Orange. Washington put the Panthers on the board in the 15th with her first score off an assist by freshman Jillian Ross and doubled the lead in the 36th minute with an assist credited to senior captain Carmel de Oliveira to put the game away for good. Senior keeper Launa Foreman picked up her first shutout of the season. While the Panthers had beaten West Orange for the 2016 District title, this victory marked their first regular season victory over the Warriors since December, 2006. In JV Women’s Soccer action, DP played to a 1-1 draw with West Orange as Auriella Wolfgramm's equalizer in the second half brought the Panthers up to square. Bit of a break for the ladies as they will be back on the pitch next Tuesday at Trinity Prep.
