2/14/2018 10:04:00 PM

A clean sweep of all five singles lines was all Women's Tennis needed as they dispatched host Osceola, 6-1, to open their season. Not one of the five lines conceded more than one game to the Kowboys with sophomore Juliana Gomes leading the way in line one (8-1). Line two saw sophomore Nicole Cardenas Hernandez cruise to a 6-1, 6-1 victory with sophomore Danielle Bennett taking line three in a perfect 6-0, 6-0. Junior Courtney Schwerer also coasted to a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win in line four with sophomore Mariana Dumper Almeida rounding out the barrage in line five, 6-1, 6-0. Gomes and Cardenas teamed up in line one doubles and added an 8-3 victory for good measure. Up next for the Panthers are the Jones Tigers, who come calling Wednesday at Lake Cane.
