Women's Track 6th at St. Cloud

Junior sprinter Ebone Fortilien and senior distance specialist Isabela Bartczak each won individual events and DP placed in the top eight in nine events as Women’s Track and Field placed sixth in the 20-team St. Cloud Invitational. Fortilien took the gold in the 200m in 25.99, edging the runner-up by just one one-hundredth of a second, and also placed fifth in the 100m with a time of 12.84. Bartczak took the gold in the 3200m in 11:17.90 while senior Hannah Waddell placed seventh in 13:05.70. Junior Zoe Alexander took the bronze medal in the 400m in 1:00.42 and also anchored the bronze medal-winning 4 x 400m relay team with Iyanna Ardis, Domanique Douglas and Courtney Afram-Gyening in 4:11.17. DP placed fourth in the 4 x 800m relay (10:43.70) with Teaghan Connolly, Roxanne Deisseroth, Isabelle Nemcik and Britney Damon. Deisseroth also placed fifth in the 800m in 2:32.34 while Gabrielle Matthews earned a fifth place finish in the 300m hurdles in 50.63. DP also took home a pair of sixth place finishes in pole vault as sophomore sisters Natalia and Nowelia Blake each cleared 6’ 6”.  Friday, the Panthers will travel to Bishop Moore for the Larry Kelly Invitational.
