Raychel Trocki's bases-loaded triple in the second inning doubled Softball's lead to 6-0 and the Panthers tacked on five more over four innings in an 11-0 district victory over Freedom. DP (6-1) put three on the board in the first inning to set the tone early. After a leadoff single by Gracie Lopez and a double to left by Dejia Benn, Trocki brought both home with a two-run single. Megan Rush followed with a sacrifice fly two batters later for a 3-0 lead after one. In the second, Cassidy Mills reached on an error, Gracie Lopez walked and Dejia Benn reached base on a fielder's choice before Raychel Trocki cleared the bases with a triple down the left field line. Up 6-0, the Panthers pressed forward in the third. Cassidy Mills and Gracie Lopez had back-to-back RBI singles and Dejia Benn's fielder's choice brought home the third run of the inning for a 9-0 lead. In the fourth, Megan Rush singled and scored on a base hit by Jordan Hartman, who scored on a follow-up single by Gracie Lopez to close out the 11-0 final. Trocki went 2-3 with five RBIs and a run scored while also striking out six batters over five innings. Lopez finished 3-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored while Dejia Benn, Megan Rush, Tiare Kong, Jordan Hartman, Kati Kelly and Cassidy Mills all picked up hits tonight. DP will square off with Freedom again Thursday night on the road to wrap up the season series.
