After a dominating Boca Raton in the opening game of the Wildcat Invitational, Men's Water Polo jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first quarter and kept St. Thomas Aquinas at bay the rest of the way in an impressive 12-8 victory over the perennial South Florida power. DP (9-0) saw five different players score the first five goals and utilized a balanced offensive attack and aggressive defense to post their most impressive victory of the season. Max Meisenheimer finished with four goals, including a penalty shot, and Alex Kaiser knocked home three goals to go with two assists and a steal. Gavin Collins found the back of the net twice, assisted on two scores and picked up a steal as well. Dan Magrino added a goal, two assists and three steals; Collin Haugh scored a goal, was good for three assists as well as two steals and James Sweet closed out the scoring with a goal, an assist and a team-high six steals. Gabe Madej continues to impress between the pipes, batting away nine shots on goal. DP will continue tournament play Saturday against Miami Gulliver and St. Andrew's.
