3/11/2018 3:04:00 PM

Men's Volleyball traveled down to Miami for the Ransom Invitational and had a strong showing, winning their pool on Friday and advancing to the Gold Bracket championship on Saturday. The Panthers swept through Cooper City Friday afternoon in straight sets, 25-13, 25-14 behind Sam Barnett's nine kills and ten digs while Blake Inlow totaled 20 assists. In game two of pool play, DP swept Miami Dr. Krop, 25-11, 25-22 as Jordan Poventud (nine kills), Raymond Negron Valero (12 digs) and Jake Sanchez (three blocks) led the charge. The nightcap victory over South Broward may have been DP's signature victory of the short season to date, as they stormed back from a 10-4 deficit in the deciding game to win 22-25, 25-15, 15-13. Jon Diedrich led the way with 11 kills with Raymond Negron Valero picked up 13 digs. Saturday's Gold Bracket championship wasn't so kind to the Panthers, however, as they fell to Celebration (19-25, 14-25) and were edged out in a tough loss to Bishop Moore (22-25, 25-19, 13-15). DP (7-2) will jump back into action Tuesday night at Wekiva.
