3/16/2018 10:49:00 AM

Senior Hannah Eden had a career day at the plate, going 5-5 with two doubles, knocking in five runs and scoring twice to lead Softball to a 12-5 thrashing of host Lake Nona. With the victory, the Panthers have now won a school-record 13 straight games to up their record to 14-1 on the season and they wasted little game getting rolling against the Lions. Eden's two-tun double in the first inning combined with Megan Rush's RBI single posted three on the board and DP matched that effort in the second inning as well. An RBI single to left by Hannah Eden scored Cassidy Mills to make it 5-0 before Megan Rush doubled home Eden to push the lead to six. DP struck for four runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by RBI doubles from Gracie Lopez   and Hannah Eden. Lopez finished 3-5 with an RBI and scored three runs while Megan Rush went 3-5 with two RBIs. DP will get a breather over the break but will get a stern test from Apopka on the road Tuesday March 27th.
