Fifth-ranked Flag Football ran its record to a perfect 4-0 on the season after shutting out # 18 Timber Creek, 19-0 last night in the Spoone. After a scoreless first quarter and nearly all of the second, DP forced a Timber Creek punt with 28 seconds left in the half. The Panthers pulled off one of the best trick plays in program history when the punt was fielded at the 40 and surrounded by all seven players who then sprinted in seven different directions. By the time the ball carrier was discovered, Megan Lapeyrouse was charging down the home sideline for a 40-yard punt return touchdown, the first in school history. DP took their 6-0 lead into the fourth quarter and tacked on two more scores when Tamara St. Louis skated in from two yards out and found Samijah Butler for the extra point to make it 13-0. Megan Lapeyrouse then stepped in front of a Timber Creek pass that set up a three-yard scoring pass from St. Louis to Stephanie Oliveira for the final 19-0 margin. The Panthers will host West Orange April 4th.
