Senior Caroline Grzeszczak scored three goals, assisted on a fourth and stacked up five steals to lead Women's Water Polo to a 5-4 victory over Olympia for the program's first District Championship since 2013.  DP (18-8) built a 3-0 lead into the third quarter before Olympia responded with two goals to cut their deficit to a goal. But the Panthers clamped down defensively, highlighted by sophomore goaltender Samantha Horency's 14 saves. Sophomore Hope Miller and senior Bailey Valdes punched in a goal each while junior Brittney Bonnin, senior Emma Hallson and sophomore Ana Luisa Cotta were sensational on the defensive end. The night was also a record-breaker for Horency, who passed Mary Campbell's 2011 record for saves in a season (233), ending the night with 245 and counting. The Panthers advance to the Regional Semifinal round Tuesday night at home at 7:00 pm against the winner of the District 4 Tournament.
