Freshman Jasmine Little's top-20 finish led Women's Cross Country at the 2018 Spikes and Spurs Invitational

Women's XC 8th at Spikes and Spurs

Freshman Jasmine Little placed 20th in the field of 489 runners and all five scoring runners finished in the top 100 as Women's Cross Country placed eighth among 25 teams at the Spikes and Spurs Invitational, hosted by Flagler Palm Coast. Little finished in 21:00 flat while freshman Shannon Matzner was 63rd in 22:26. Sophomore Teaghan Connolly pulled in four seconds later at 22:30 to place 64th while freshman Amber He clocked in at 22:48 in spot number 76. Junior Roxanne Deisseroth completed the scoring for the Panthers with a time of 23:27, good for 97th place overall. Also competing for DP were junior Meilah Wimbush (23:40), Sophomore Sophie Cirineo (23:50), junior Melanie Ortiz-Bandes (25:26) and junior Andrea Emmanuelli (29:55). The Panthers will head up to DeLand next Saturday.
