Men's Cross Country 8th at Astronaut Invite

Men's Cross Country saw all five of its scoring runners place in the top third in the field of 333 runners as they placed eighth of 45 teams at Saturday's Astronaut Invitational in Titusville. Senior Anthony Venturini was the first Panther through the shoot as he placed 31st in 17:47, followed by sophomore Adam Berriz five seconds and six places later at 17:52. Junior Kervenster Azor (18:26) and senior Josh Matzner (18:38) were the next two through while sophomore Ilyas Semlali completed the scoring in 19:02. Junior Damon Perez (19:34), junior Dontaveous Haynes (19:42) and sophomore Emanuel Seroka (20:23) all had strong days as well. JV Cross Country finished tenth of 22 teams in their race with Daniel Manzella setting the pace for the Panthers in 20:20, placing 30th among 298 runners. DP will head to Clermont Saturday for the Early Hawk Invitational.
