Men's Swimming falls to West Orange

Men’s Swimming had 12 place in the top three across eight individual events and won the 200 freestyle relay but it wasn’t enough to supplant West Orange as DP fell to the Warriors, 171-126, yesterday at the Aquatic Center. Senior Max Meisenheimer won the 50 free in a season-best time of 22.34 and anchored the winning 200 free relay with seniors Gavin Collins, Hayden Joossens and Dan Magrino in 1:32.80. Individual second place finishes were awarded to freshman Sole Fratila in the 200 free (1:55.45), Dan Magrino in the 100 fly (1:00.25), senior James Sweet in the 500 free (5:27.19), Max Meisenheimer in the 100 free (51.10), as was the 400 free relay team of Collins, Sweet, Magrino and Meisenheimer in 3:27.16. DP also had six swimmers place third in their individual events with sophomore Ricky Cheng in the 100 back (1:03.84), senior Gabe Madej in the 100 breast (1:08.22), Dan Magrino in the 200 IM (2:12.84), Gavin Collins in the 50 free (22.97) and the 100 free (52.16), Hayden Joossens in the 100 fly (1:00.36) and junior Adrian Britto in the 500 free (5:54.22). DP (2-2) will travel up to Volusia County Saturday for the Spruce Creek Invitational.
