Women’s Swimming and Diving picked up an individual victory as well as six second place finishes but visiting West Orange was too deep for the Panthers in a 217-87 victory over DP (2-2). Senior Kayla Smith captured first in the 100 back in 1:02.09 and picked up a second place finish in the 200 free with a time of 1:57.91. Smith also helped both freestyle relay teams to a second place finish, leading off the 200 for junior Ana Luisa Cotta, freshman McKenzie Moreland and junior Samantha Horency (1:46.80). In the 400 free relay, Sam Horency led off for McKenzie Moreland, senior Julia Batzer and Kayla Smith as the Panthers went 3:57.94, good for a runner-up finish. Individually, second place finishes also went to Sam Horency in the 50 free (26.18), McKenzie Moreland in the 100 fly (1:04.31) and freshman Tierney Diedrich in diving. The Panthers head to the coast Saturday for the Spruce Creek Invitational.
