Women's Volleyball swept through Olympia in straight sets to win the 2018 District Championship

Volleyball thrashes Olympia for District title

After whipping Freedom in straight sets in the semifinal Wednesday night, Women's Volleyball roared into the District Championship match and hammered host Olympia in a 25-20, 25-19, 25-12 sweep to win their second title in three years and 12th championship in program history. Senior Mallory Porcher and sophomore Alexis Distasio provided the offensive muscle with 12 and seven kills, respectively with sophomore Olivia Osuna distributing a team-high 34 assists. Defensively, the Panthers were led by sophomore Caroline Davis with 13 digs. DP improves to 21-6 on the season and will host the Regional Quarterfinal next Wednesday at 7:00 pm against Newsome (15-10).
