Women's Cross Country (bottom row) placed fourth in the 2018 District Championship to move on

Freshman Jasmine Little finished with a time of 20:05, placing sixth in the field of 62 runners, to lead Women's Cross Country to a fourth place team finish at the District Championship Friday at West Orange. Freshman Amber He placed 21st, finishing in 21:57, edging out freshman Shannon Matzner (22nd) by just 15 hundredths of a second in a photo finish. Junior Sydney Kaufman was next through the shoot for DP with a 27th place showing in 22:30, outstretching junior Whitney Wright by 56 hundredths of a second as both runners completed the Panthers' scoring five. Junior Roxanne Deisseroth finished the course in 22:33 (29th) and junior Meilah Wimbush closed out DP's top seven runners on the board with a time of 22:37 to place 30th overall. With the top four teams advancing to the Regional Championship, DP will now head to Gainesville next Friday!
