Junior Kaitlyn Montague knocked home a penalty kick goal and assisted on a second score as Women's Soccer opened up their 2019 campaign with a 3-3 draw at Freedom. Sophomore Jillian Ross and freshman Rylie Pryor also added solo goals with freshman Lola Sanchez getting credit for an assist as well. DP (0-0-1) scored what looked to be the game-winning goal as time expired in the match but the goal was waived off. JV Soccer opened up their season on a high note with a 4-0 thrashing of host Freedom behind a pair of goals from junior Auriella Wolfgramm and solo goals from junior Marina Guimaraes and sophomore Samira Maali. Sophomore Brianna Kulich, freshman Victoria Castellanos and junior Mary Waters registered the DP assists. Both squads will return to the pitch tomorrow with tough matches at Lake Nona.
