Women's Soccer mauls Ocoee
12/11/2018 11:33:00 PM

On the coldest night of the season to date, Women's Soccer wasted little time to end their match with host Ocoee as quickly as possible. Junior Kaitlyn Montague registered the first hat trick of her DP career as the Panthers battered the Knights, 10-0, in just one half of play to improve to 5-0-2 on the season. Junior Grace Owens, sophomore Jill Ross and freshman Rylie Pryor each scored a pair of goals while sophomore Kirah Graham knocked in a solo goal of her own. Seniors Belle Robinson and Emmy Saunders were credited with two assists each and junior goalkeeper MacKenzie Montague stopped three shots on goal to pick up her fifth shutout in seven games. JV Soccer upped their record to 3-2-1 with a 2-0 victory over Ocoee. Marina Guimaraes punched in the game-winner in the 18th minute off an assist from Madeline Montague and in the 27th minute, Samira Maali took a pass from Guimaraes and buried it in the twine for the final goal of the night. Freshman goalkeeper Darby Silvernell collected five saves, earning her third shutout of the season. Thursday night looks to be a bit warmer as the Panthers will host Wekiva in the Spoone.
