Women's Wrestling rolls to its 13th consecutive duel meet victory with a team title at the 2018 Freedom Duels

Women's Wrestling takes Freedom Duels title

Eight wrestlers finished undefeated across four matches as Women's Wrestling took home the team championship at the Freedom Duels Saturday. DP (4-0) defeated Orange City University (84-6), Evans (84-6), Orlando University (78-9) and host Freedom (52-31) as they continue to steamroll towards their goal of a third straight State Championship. Jessica Corredor (106, 9-0 on season), Shania Gowan (170, 9-0 on season) and Shedeline Ulysse (220, 6-0 on the season) all finished a perfect 4-0 on the day and to date, all have won every match this season by pin. Freshman Juliana Diaz (123) went 4-0, upping her season record to 9-0, as did Karoline Ortiz at 129 (4-0, 9-0 season). 

Jennifer Charles (135, 4-0), Jennifer Gabriel (160, 4-0) and Amani Guzman (285, 2-0) were perfect on the day as well. Picking up three victories in four matches were Sterline Joseph (101), Yari Torres (113), Sanii Porter (117) and Naomi Alezi (198). DP will get some great competition next Saturday as they travel to the Matanzas Tournament.
