Women's Soccer pulls away from Edgewater
1/30/2019 8:48:00 AM

Last night in the Spoone, top-seeded Women’s Soccer shook off a 1-1 tie with Edgewater with two second half goals in a 3-1 victory to send the Panthers into the District Championship match and punched a ticket to the Regional Tournament. Freshman Rylie Pryor scored a pair of goals, junior Kaitlyn Montague added a goal and assisted on another, and sophomore Jill Ross added an assist. Metro West Conference champion DP (11-2-3) will take on third-seeded Apopka (12-5-1) in the District Championship for the third consecutive year, and while the Panthers have been successful in the regular season vs. the Blue Darters, they’ll look to snap Apopka’s two-year District Championship run tomorrow night at 7:00 pm.
