Flag Football routs Winter Park
3/8/2019 8:47:00 AM

Senior Nisa Costa intercepted three passes and caught one of three touchdown passes from Tamara St. Louis as Flag Football plastered host Winter Park, 41-0. DP (1-1) got off to a great start in the first quarter when Costa's interception set up a five-yard touchdown pass from St. Louis to Mykiah Presley and a two-point conversion pass to Shiquila Bryant for an 8-0 lead. Much of the same in the second quarter as Costa's pick gave DP great field position and Tamara St. Louis skated in for the first of her two rushing touchdowns (three and eight yards) as the Panthers led 20-0 at the half. On the first play of the second half, Megan Lapeyrouse gave DP a 26-0 lead with a 70-yard touchdown run and after another Costa interception, Tamara St. Louis rewarded her with a 30-yard scoring pass to push the lead to 32-0. Fourth quarter action was highlighted by St. Louis' third TD toss of the game, this time to Chloe Matthews-Boultbee for 20 yards and capped by a three-point conversion pass from St. Louis to Presley for the final 41-0 margin. JV Flag Football also had no problems with the host Wildcats in a 39-0 victory that moves them to 2-0 on the season. Brianna Kulich and Nekisha Francois each ran for a touchdown, Madysen Getz hauled in three touchdown passes and Mary Waters returned an interception for a touchdown. DP will take on Boone in a Wednesday home doubleheader.
