Trocki is perfect again

Senior right-hander Raychel Trocki fired her fifth no-hitter of the season, her second perfect game, and struck out 12 batters as Softball pounded visiting Boone, 10-0, for the team's ninth shutout in ten games. DP needed just five innings to send the Braves packing as they lit up Boone for five runs in the third and four more in the fourth. With a 1-0 lead, DP loaded the bases with nobody out in third before Kati Kelly came home on a passed ball and Ailey Schyck's bases-clearing double brought home Jordan Hartman, Raychel Trocki and Dejia Benn for a 5-0 lead. Aliyah Headen drove an 0-1 pitch back through the box to score Schyck to make it 6-0 before the rally ended after sending ten batters to the plate. In the home fourth, DP picked up right where they left off. Jordan Hartman was hit by a pitch leading off the inning, moved to second on a single by Raychel Trocki and scored on Gracie Lopez' liner into center field. Ailey Schyck delivered a two-run single to right that brought home Trocki and Lopez for a 9-0 advantage and Megan Rush closed out the barrage with an RBI base hit that sent Ailey Schyck home with the final run. DP has won seven games by mercy rule, outscoring their opponents an astounding 125-2. They head into spring break a perfect 10-0 but will play a very good Lake Nona squad (7-2) that is also undefeated in District play when they return from the break.
