Women's Track wins Charger Invitational

With podium finishes in nine events, including eight first place winners, Women's Track and Field dominated the 12-team Charger Invitational Saturday at Liberty High School, outdistancing second place Liberty by 55 points, 193-138. DP captured all three medals in the 1600m with Jasmine Little taking the gold in 5:42.38, Amber He the silver (5:53.15) and Isabelle Nemcik the bronze (5:54.29), while also sweeping gold and silver finishes in three more events. Roxanne Deisseroth (12:54.70) and Sophie Cirineo (13:52.66) were first and second in the 3200m, Gabrielle Matthews (49.49) and Imani Wiley (50.02) did the same in the 300m hurdles, while in the 100m hurdles, Wiley took the gold in 17.07 with Irmiris  Mendez earning silver in 17.14. Rayanna Mathis won the 100m with a time of 12.69 and placed second in the 400m in 1:00.54 and DP also had two more bronze medalists with Laury Demorcy in the high jump (4' 6") and Domanique Douglas in the triple jump (34' 1"). DP dominated all three relays, capturing gold in the 4 x 100m (49.94), the 4 x 400m by a whopping 13 seconds (4:05.90) and the 4 x 800m (10:26.51). Up next are the Pepsi Relays in Gainesville next weekend!
