Rodney Wells' 62-yard run with 1:37 left in regulation set up a two-yard touchdown run by quarterback Joe Joe Patti that gave Dr. Phillips a 28-21 spring game victory over Winter Park. DP trailed by a touchdown in the first quarter but Brenden Cyr found Noah Scholfield out of the backfield for a 12-yard touchdown pass that tied the game at 7-7 with 11:52 left in the half. Winter Park would capitalize on a Panther turnover and take a 14-7 lead at the half and added another score in the third quarter to push their lead to 21-7. But Cyr connected with Jalen Thompson for a 30-yard gain and Rodney Wells capped the 75-yard drive with a two-yard touchdown run to pull the Panthers back to within seven, 21-14.
