Dr. Phillips Competitive Cheerleading wins their fifth consecutive State Championship (2013)

Cheerleading dynasty continues
2/3/2013 11:36:00 AM

For the fifth consecutive year, Dr. Phillips Competitive Cheerleading brought home the FHSAA State Championship and in the process, secured themselves in the DP record books, tying Women's Swimming for the most consecutive state titles in school history. For the ladies it was business as usual, as they have won every FHSAA competition since the sport was recognized by the state in 2009. The Panthers (81.7) held off second place Lakeland (75.6) on the strength of their execution but predominantly on the difficulty level of their stunts, which continues to raise the bar every year. Next Saturday, DP will compete in the UCA National Championship at Disney.
