Men's Track and Field prepares for the DP Invitational (2012)

Men's Track wins Spruce Creek Invite

Junior Roderick Proctor captured first place in the high jump (5' 10), second in the triple jump (43' 3.5) and third in the long jump (21' 3.5) to lead a contingent of 17 top five finishes as Men's Track and Field won the 16-team Spruce Creek Invitational. Freshman Alvin Bryant took the silver medal in the 400m (52.05) while second place finishes were also turned in by sophomore Jean Julme in the high jump (5' 8) as well as the 4 x 100m (41.92) and 4 x 400m (3:26.64) relay teams. Senior Tony Davis placed third in the 110m hurdles (16.01) and fourth in the 300m hurdles (42.08). Junior Anthony Rojas placed third in the 3000m (9:51.11) as did the 4 x 800m relay team (8:47.87). Other top five finishers included senior Denzel Hanna in the triple jump (4th at 42' .25), junior Adam Lawrence in the 3000m (5th at 9:59.61), junior Marvin Brown in the 200m (5th at 23.03) and 100m (5th at 11.35), junior Javon Thomas in the 300m hurdles (5th at 42.32) and junior Jean D'Haiti in the 1500m (5th at 4:28.06). DP will head to Tampa next Saturday for the Steinbrenner Invitational.
