At the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Women's Track sensation Bridget Blake obliterated, by one and a half seconds, her own school record in the 1600m with a time of 4:54.74 to take home the gold medal. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Blake's time in the 1600m is the fifth-fastest in Central Florida history. Teammate Amber Johnson ran a strong race in the 1600m, placing 13th with a time of 5:22.19. Both Blake and Johnson teamed up with Marly Joseph and Sierra Middleton for a silver medal finish in the 4000m distance medley relay in a school-record time 12:32.51. In the 4 x 200m relay, Jovani Culver, Teahna Daniels, Marly Joseph and Kimberly Neismith placed tenth in 1:45.43. More action to come today.
