Women's Soccer battles back to tie Ocoee
12/4/2013 8:44:00 AM

Women’s Soccer spotted visiting Ocoee two goals in the first 20 minutes of play but battled back for a 3-3 tie as their record now stands at 4-3-2. Caroline Polder put the Panthers on the scoreboard with a shot from 30 yards out off an assist from Shae Vevera. Vevera would level the match just before halftime , taking a pass from Samantha Boshears and putting it in the back of the net for her eighth goal of the season. Tied at 2-2 in the second half, Ocoee took the lead just two minutes in but in the 65th minute, Vevera fired on goal and Gianna Fischetti was right there to knock home the rebound for the 3-3 final. JV Soccer improved to 5-1-1 with their fifth consecutive shutout victory, 7-0 over Ocoee. Monique Bernier and Alexa Resig each scored a pair of goals with Jayla Mullin, Emily Jones and Emma Canty providing solo scores. Give goalkeepers Kaeli Trail and Aspyn Draper the combination shutout as the JV Panthers have now outscored their opponents 24-2 on the season. Varsity will head to Montverde tomorrow to take on Winter Park.
