12/8/2013 9:49:00 PM

Year in and year out, DP Men's Basketball prepares for the playoffs by scheduling difficult games in hostile environments during the regular season. Saturday, the Panthers put their undefeated record on the line in a place few teams can handle when they traveled down south to arguably the most storied program in the state, Miami High, and came away with an impressive 61-53 victory over the host Stingareees. Junior Jonathan Laurent notched his sixth straight double-double with 28 points and 15 rebounds along with five assists and three steals as the Panthers improved to 6-0 on the season. Junior Wilkins Desir added nine points and five rebounds, freshman Chaundee Brown chipped in eight points and four rebounds and freshman Elijah Jordan picked up seven points and six rebounds. DP will have the full week to practice as they travel next up to Williston to take on Santa Fe High School Saturday at 3:15.
