Women's Polo dominates Winter Springs

Women's Water Polo made the long trek up to Oviedo to take on Winter Springs but they made short work of the host Bears as nine Panthers registered goals in a 20-2 victory. DP (3-0) surged to a 14-0 lead before finally allowing a third quarter goal. Junior Rikki Price had a tremendous game, finishing with a team-high five goals with an assist and three steals and freshman Julia James picked up three goals and a pair of assists. Destiny Slyster and Jillian Goulden each scored three, Jacqueline James scored twice, assisted on a third and picked up two steals. Freshman Maddie Magrino scored a goal, added two assists and registered a team-high seven steals. Emily Kliewer picked up a goal, assisted on three more and tallied two steals while Kyra Farkas and Hadiel Khalil rounded out the scoring with solo goals. Defensively, Allie Magrino recorded five steals and goaltender Jessica Robinson three saves. DP will travel to Ocoee Tuesday before a major battle with Boone Thursday at home.
