3/15/2014 7:31:00 PM

Over at the YMCA Aquatic Center, Women's Water Polo channeled their frustration from Thursday's loss and visiting Wekiva paid the price. DP (10-2) exploded for 11 goals in the first period alone and on the strength of nine different scorers, put a school-record 26 goals in the cage in a 26-5 pasting of the Mustangs. Jillian Goulden scored a team-high nine goals; Rikki Price registered a hat trick, assisted on three with a steal; Allie Magrino also scored three goals along with two assists and two steals; Kyra Farkas came off the bench and poured in three goals; Maddie Magrino scored a pair of goals, assisted on four others, recorded a team-high seven steals and a field block; Julia James also scored twice, picked up three assists and tallied four steals; Destiny Slyster put two in the cage while solo scores were added by Emily Kliewer (goal, three assists) and Megan Hallson (goal, assist). Rounding out the score sheet, credit Jacqueline James with three assists and four steals, Sabrina Oetterer with two steals and Sunny Zhu with an assist and steal. Jessica Robinson was solid as always between the pipes with six saves, three assists and two steals while Molly Ortiz came on in relief in the fourth quarter for a pair of saves. DP will get set for a three-game road stretch Monday at Seminole followed by West Orange and Edgewater Tuesday and Wednesday.
