DP's 4 x 400m relay team of Emare Hogan, Jamari Smith, Javon Thomas and Edwin D'Haiti wins the gold at the 2014 Lake Brantley Classic

Men's Track seventh at 9th / 10th Metro

Men's Track and Field sent a small contingent of its team over to the Freshmen / Sophomore Metro Championship and the Panthers saw top eight finishes in six events, good for a seventh place finish in the 15-team field. Emare Hogan's time of 1:58.04 in the 800m was a personal best this season and good for the gold medal.  Nigel Alexander won the bronze medal in the discus (119-4) as did Justin Tucker in the high jump (5-6). DP's 4 x 400m relay team of Wilmane Toussaint, Alexander Nkuitabong, Kendall Miles and Emare Hogan earned fourth place in 3:38.08. Tashaun Lindquist placed fourth in the shot put with a personal best 39-8 while Nigel Alexander was right behind in fifth at 38-9. Willmane Toussaint cleared 9-0 even in the pole vault to place seventh. DP will head to the Metro Conference Championship Wednesday and Thursday at Showalter Field.
