Men's Water Polo takes down Edgewater

Junior Evan Staton scored ten goals, all in the first half, and added three assists and four steals to lead Men's Water Polo to a 22-2 thrashing of host Edgewater. DP (12-2) jumped out to a 15-0 lead by halftime with Andrew Sweet scoring five, assisting on a sixth and earning a steal. Anshul Devnani was incredibly generous as he assisted on six goals and also registered four steals on defense. Jake Meisenheimer scored three goals to go with two assists and two steals, Tyler Haugh scored twice while Samer Diab put in a solo goal but also tabbed a team-high six steals with an assist. Eduardo Macias rounded out the goal allotment with a solo shot and picked up two steals and an assist. Also in the stat column were Corbin Chamberlain (four steals, assist), Andrew Tobiasen (two steals, assist), Alex Afanasiev (two steals), Nathan Sturgess (steal), Nik Lachinski (five saves, assist) and Guillermo Mercon (seven saves, assist). The Panthers will now focus all their energy on the Olympia Titans, Wednesday April 2nd, for the Metro West Conference Championship.
