Men's Water Polo defeats Olympia 17-6 for the 2014 Metro West Conference Championship

Men's Polo takes 4th straight title

Junior Evan Staton scored eight goals and added an assist and a steal as Men's Water Polo captured their fourth consecutive Metro West Conference Championship with a 17-6 drubbing of Olympia. DP (13-2) broke open a close game with six goals in the second quarter to take a 9-2 lead into halftime and won going away. Junior Anshul Devnani mixed in four goals, four steals and three assists while Parker Sellers picked up two goals, three steals and an assist and Andrew Sweet scored a pair of goals with two assists and two steals. Corbin Chamberlain scored on his only shot and registered four steals and a team-high four assists. Jake Meisenheimer chipped in with an assist and Tyler Haugh recorded a steal. Goalkeeper Nik Lachinski stopped ten shots and assisted on two scores. DP will now head down to Miami Friday for the Ransom Everglades Tournament.
