Men's Water Polo defeats Olympia

Men's Water Polo finished up their preseason slate as well up at the Winter Park Preseason Classic and came home with a record of 2-1-1 after tying Lake Nona (5-5) and defeating Olympia (11-7) Friday night. Against Lake Nona, Anshul Devnani scored a pair of goals, assisted on two more and added two steals while solo scores were notched by Andrew Sweet, Evan Staton and Jake Meisenheimer. Guillermo Mercon registered four saves in goal. In the Olympia game, the Panthers jumped out to a 6-0 first half lead and set it to cruise control the rest of the way as 13 players saw action throughout the game. Anshul Devnani led the Panthers with four goals and an assist, Evan Staton picked up three goals and an assist, Parker Sellers added a goal, two steals and an assist while Corbin Chamberlain scored a goal, assisted on three more and registered a steal.  Alex Afanasiev and Jack Campbell rounded out the scorecard for DP while Tyler Haugh recorded five saves in a first-half shutout. The Panthers will head to the Lake Brantley Tournament February 18th.
