Men's Weightlifting debuts over Olympia

Men's Weightlifting opened up their season with a home match against Olympia and the Panthers looked solid, taking first place in nine weight classes for a 53-31 victory. Leading the way was senior Gio Clavier, who lifted a total of 625 pounds in the 219 lb. weight class, just 15 pounds shy of tying the school record. Jeremiah Harris won the 119 class with a 355 total lift; Shayun Young took the top spot at 129 lbs. with a 400 lb. total; Taylor Nakashima won his 139 lb. class (435 total), as did Theodore Smith (345 lbs. in 154 class), Daishawn Reyes (490 in 169 class), Justin Braxton (505 in 199 class) and Tashaun Lindquist (470 in heavyweight division). DP will travel to Edgewater next Wednesday.
