Balance keys victory over Wekiva

Women's Water Polo jumped out to a 7-0 lead and increased it to 15-1 by halftime as they throttled Wekiva, 18-4 for their 13th consecutive victory. Jillian Goulden led all scorers with five goals and a steal and Jacqueline James filled the stat columns with four goals, four assists and six steals. Rikki Price put four in the cage to go with four steals and an assist. Destiny Slyster scored twice; Maddie Magrino and Emily Kliewer each scored a goal and tallied a team-high seven steals apiece; and Megan Hallson finished with a goal, two assists and a steal. Other statistical contributors included Kyra Farkas (two assists, steal), Natascha Klumb (steal), Julia Osuna (steal) and Sarah Demsky (assist). Goaltender Jessica Robinson registered ten saves, five assists and three steals in three quarters of work before Molly Ortiz finished the game with two saves and two steals. DP (15-1) will take on Edgewater and Apopka April 1st at the Aquatic Center with the chance to secure the Metro West Conference Championship.
