Women's Lacrosse stays hot

Women's Lacrosse  picked up a critical district victory, 18-7 over host Freedom, to secure the top seed for the upcoming District Tournament. Elyse Decker (four goal, two assists) and Hayleigh Martin (four goals) led the way for the Panthers, who are now 12-1 and have won 12 straight games. Also factoring in the scoring were Catherine Moffitt, Amanda Massey and Cece Ballmes with two goals each as well as Lucy Gomez, Ashley DeRusha and Mackenzie Allen, each with a solo goal. Piper Johnson earned the evening's philanthropy award after assisting on four goals while adding one of her own. Lindsey Goldberg also picked up an assist. DP gets a break from competition but will be back in action Monday March 30th at Apopka. JV Lacrosse upped their record to 7-2 with their fifth straight victory, 13-3 over Freedom. Yasmeen Garib scored three goals while Lauren Afanasiev and Katleen Bellony added two goals apiece. Credit solo goals to Natalie Rodriguez, Chloe BeyRaian Natseh, Tia Humphries, Valerie Virgilio and Lindsey Kincheloe. Dahlia Khatib gets the win in goal with five saves.
