Adajah Irving hands off to Jovani Culver as DP's 4 x 400m relay captures gold at the 2015 Metro West Championship

Another dominating win for Women's Track

Women's Track and Field outdistanced second place Lake Weir by over 40 points to run away with the championship in the 23-team Lake Brantley Invitational Saturday in Altamonte Springs. DP won both the 4 x 100m relay (48.74) and the 4 x 400m relay (4:01.51) and had top eight finishes in nearly every individual event. In the 4 x 800m relay, DP placed fourth at 10:06.51 and followed up with a second place finish in the 800m 'B' event by Savannah Alexander (2:42.23). Alahni Wood won the 100m hudles in 15.24; Jovani Culver was second in the 100m with a time of 12.60 while Jada Sabratti was eighth in 13.04. Annika Sison captured the 1600m title in 5:20.10; Adajah Irving placed sixth in the 400m (59.22) and Haille Walker finished eighth in 59.32. In the 300m hurdles, Alahni Wood placed fifth (49.30) while in the 200m Jovani Culver was third (25.90) and Haille Walker fifth (26.33). DP had three in the top seven in the 3200m with Isabela Bartczak (second in 11:58.49), Hannah Waddell (third in 12:12.12) and Veronica Jackson (seventh in 12:50.64). Up next for the Panthers is the TFA Invitational next Saturday.
