Sophomore Emare Hogan leads DP at the 2015 Lake Brantley Invitational

Men's Track ties for TFA title

Bolstered by first place finishes in three relays, Men's Track and Field tied Lyman with 70 points apiece to share the championship at the Jeff Wentworth Relays at First Academy. In the day's final event, DP's 4 x 400m relay team of Emare Hogan, Carl Schwartz, Jean D'Haiti and Caleb Walls split the tape in 3:23.08 to give the Panthers the event victory and a share of the title in the field of 23 teams. DP also brought home victories in the opening event, the 4 x 800m relay, with Darren Warrington, Alex Nkuitabong, Carl Schwartz and Emare Hogan in 8:13.73, as well as the 800m sprint relay team of Emare Hogan, Caleb Walls, Yuan Pagan and Tanner Ingle (1:34.12). Larry Pierre finished in the top six in three individual events: second in the 110m hurdles (15.48), third in the high jump (6-0), and sixth in the 300m hurdles (41.46). Alvin Bryant placed third in the 100m (10.75), and fourth place finishes were turned in by the 4 x 200 relay team of Felipe Starling, Kenyon Baron, Yuan Pagan and Tanner Ingle (1:30.78) as well as the 4 x 100m team of Yuan Pagan, Caleb Walls, Emare Hogan and Tanner Ingle (42.82).  Michael Fox placed fifth in the triple jump (40-10) and Bobby Irving was sixth in the long jump (20-5). Wrapping up the scoring for DP was the 4 x 100 throwers relay of Donovan Enos, Nigel Alexander, Bobby Johnson and Shaquille Kellyman that placed eighth with a time of 55.95. DP will prepare for the Osceola Invitational next Saturday.
