Women's Track and Field 5th at Regional

Women’s Track and Field was highlighted by a record-setting day by senior Alahni Wood and a pair of bronze medal finishes by our relay teams as DP placed fifth in the field of 34 scoring teams at the Regional Championship. Wood took home the silver medal in the 110m hurdles in a school-record 13.95, a bronze medal in the long jump (17’ 9.5”) and placed fourth in the triple jump at 37’ 5.75”.  DP’s 4 x 800m relay team of Haille Walker, Isabela Bartczak, Shayla Douglas and Annika Sison earned a bronze medal in 9:32.04 while the 4 x 400m relay team also placed third with Shayla Douglas, Haille Walker, Iyanna Ardis and Adajah irving (3:58.34). Other scoring finishes included Isabela Bartczak in the 3200m (fifth) in a personal best 11:33.85, Haille Walker in the 800m (seventh) in 2:22.50 and Annika Sison in the 1600m (eighth) in 5:23.70. The Panthers will now move on to the State Championship at IMG Academy in Bradenton next weekend.
