Times have been tough of late for Women's Basketball, having entered their game at Timber Creek on a nine-game winless streak, but that run came to an end last night. Down by four points with just two minutes remaining in the game, junior guard Samijah Butler drained a long three to close the gap to just one point. After Timber Creek responded with a pair of free throws to go back up by three, freshman Courtney Afram-Gyening buried a game-tying three to knot the score at 41-41. Senior guard Tiffany Tolbert, who scored a game-high 26 points, was then fouled twice and sank all four free throws to give DP the 45-41 victory. Samijah Butler finished with ten points and seven rebounds. DP will host Ocoee Thursday night.
