Demetrius Hart ran for 168 yards and four touchdowns and the DP offense scored on all eight of their possessions as the Panthers hammered host Cypress Creek, 52-0.  In a game delayed by lightning and marred by a total of 22 penalties, DP was methodical, outgaining the Bears 368 - minus 13 yards offensively.  Quarterback Nick Patti (8-11-104 yards, TD) spread the football around effectively to six different receivers and Joe Scott added to the efficiency, completing all four of his passes for 50 yards and two touchdowns.

In the first quarter, Patti connected with seniors Zach Durham and Pat Fenlon for 25 and 11 yards, respectively, before Dee Hart scored from 11 yards out for a 7-0 lead.  Lightning caused the teams to leave the field for an hour but when play resumed, the Panthers continued their attack.  After Shawn Moffitt's 28-yard field goal gave DP a 10-0 lead after the first quarter, DP turned on the jets in the second.  After a holding penalty backed the Panthers up to their own 43, Hart exploded for a 57-yard touchdown run at the 8:12 mark for a 17-0 lead.  Hart broke off a 36-yard run on the Panthers' next possession to set up his third score of the night, a nine-yard run, to push the margin to 24-0 but they were far from finished.  With 1:53 left in the half, DP took over at the Creek 24.  Patti connected with Roderick Ryles for eight yards down to the two and Dee Hart punched it in for a 31-0 lead at the break.

In the third quarter, DP got rolling again with a 15-play, 73-yard scoring drive that chewed up four and a half minutes.  After two penalties gave the Panthers a first and 26 from their own 16, Patti's 17-yard run and a an 18-yard pass to Ryles gave them a first down near midfield.  Eric Harrell got into the fold with a ten-yard run, Ryles pulled in a 13-yard reception and Hart hit back to back runs totaling 30 yards.  Patti finished the drive with a five-yard touchdown pass to sophomore Jake Janse, his first of the season and the first of two touchdown catches for him on the night.

The fourth quarter saw quarterback Joe Scott move the football down the field with equal flare.  Harrell carried five times for 25 yards and Scott connected with Janse twice, the second a four-yard touchdown pass for a 45-0 lead.  On their final drive, Scott hooked up with tight end Mike Milano for 19 yards and finished the barrage with a 20-yard touchdown pass to Milano for the 52-0 final.

DP (4-0) set a new defensive record, allowing Cypress Creek only two first downs all game.  Additionally, kicker Shawn Moffitt now holds the school's consecutive PAT record, nailing 63 in a row dating back to last year.  Moffitt shattered Mike Diglio's mark of 54 last week, originally set back in 1989-1990.  DP will have a bye week and get ready for Boone October 8th.
