Flag Football rolls to another victory

Senior quarterback Kaylee Messina threw for five touchdown passes to lead Flag Football to a 34-0 victory over host Evans. DP (3-0) built a 21-0 first half lead as Messina connected with Samijah Butler on a five-yard score, Aaliyah Govan for 15 yards and Nisa Costa for a ten-yard touchdown. In the third quarter, Messina found Tiffany Tolbert on a 12-yard touchdown strike and wrapped up the game nicely in the fourth with a 35-yard touchdown pass to Megan Lapeyrouse. Aaliyah Govan scored three times on extra point runs while defensively, the Panthers picked off five passes. Tiffany Tolbert snared two, with interceptions also marked by Nisa Costa, Aaliyah Govan and Stephanie Oliveira. Rukayla Winters picked up a quarterback sack and Shiquila Bryant led the receiving corps with five receptions. DP will host Olympia next Wednesday.

JV Flag Football picked up their first win of the season with a 19-0 victory over Evans. Sophomores Tomya Tate and Hana Seif returned two of DP's four interceptions for touchdowns and quarterback Makaya Edwards connected with Madysen Getz for a touchdown pass that iced the game. Credit Ayanna Buisseith and Lacey Bicchieri with interceptions as well as DP evened their record at 1-1. JV will travel to West Orange on April 10th.
