Nini Underwood went 2-2, drove in a run, scored twice and stole a pair of bases as DP Softball rolled to their eighth straight victory, 6-1 over Cypress Creek. DP, now 15-4 on the season, jumped on the Bears for two runs in the first inning when Underwood singled and came around to score on a sacrifice by Megan Rush. Raychel Trocki, who struck out six and scattered five hits, walked, stole second and scored on an error for a 2-0 lead. In the second, Alexa Wexler and Hannah Eden hit consecutive singles and led to a bunt by Tiare Kong that scored Wexler to make it 3-0. Underwood then followed with a sacrifice fly to score Eden as the lead stretched to 4-0. Wexler delivered an RBI single in the third inning and in the sixth, Nini Underwood singled, advanced to third on a wild pitch and stole home for DP's final run. The Panthers will head east to Colonial next Thursday.
