Down by two in the third inning, Baseball ripped into Tavares for three runs to take a 4-3 lead and tacked on another run in the the sixth for a 5-3 victory, their third straight. DP took a quick 1-0 lead in the first when Hamzah Nobles drove a 3-1 pitch into center field for a leadoff triple and scored on a ground out by Bailey Kossoff. After Tavares scored three in the top of the third, the Panthers responded immediately in the home half. After a leadoff walk to Hamzah Nobles, Bailey Kossoff doubled to left to score Nobles and came home on an RBI single by Sebastian Oetterer to tie the game at 3-3. After August Haymaker singled, Will Sullivan stepped in and delivered a two-out base hit to bring home Haymaker with the go-ahead run. Fast forward to the sixth inning and James Hurst got the Panthers going with a leadoff double, advanced to third on a passed ball and came home on a fielder's choice by Raymond Negron. Hurst finished 2-3 with a run scored while Hamzah Nobles (2-3, two runs) and Sebastian Oetterer (2-3, run) also registered multiple hit games. On the mound, Alex Warren came on in relief in the fifth inning and scattered three hits, allowed no runs and struck out four to pick up the victory. DP (9-6) will host Oak Ridge Wednesday.
