Senior shortstop Nini Underwood broke a 4-4 tie with a one-out solo home run in the top of the sixth as Softball came back to beat host Olympia, 10-4. DP spotted the host Titans a 3-0 lead but rallied for ten of the game's next 11 runs to pick up their tenth consecutive victory and first over Olympia in three years. In the top of the third, DP (17-4) got the bats going when Hannah Eden's two-run single brought home Kati Kelly and Dejia Benn to tie the game at 3-3. In the visiting fourth, Kati Kelly doubled home Raychel Trocki to give the Panthers a 4-3 lead but the Titans would even things up in the home half. Fast forward to the sixth inning tied at 4-4 where Underwood drove a 2-2 pitch over the left field fence to give the Panthers a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Kati Kelly followed up with an RBI single to bring home Megan Rush and two batters later, Dejia Benn's sacrifice fly scored Raychel Trocki for a 7-4 lead. In the top of the seventh, DP tacked on three more runs when Raychel Trocki belted a two-run single to left and Gracie Lopez singled home Trocki for 10-4 final. Impressive stats for the Panthers as four players went for multiple hits led by Trocki (3-3, two RBIs, four runs scored, two walks), Kelly (3-5, double, two RBIs, run), Eden (2-4, two RBIs, run) and Underwood (2-3, home run, RBI, two runs). DP will get a big test Thursday night as they host Apopka at 6:00 pm.
