Women's Track 6th at District Championship

Junior Isabela Bartczak continued her distance domination this year, capturing the District Championship in the 3200m, to highlight the team's sixth place finish. Bartczak now has won the Metro West and District titles in the 3200m and will get a chance to do the same at the Regional Championship. The top four finishers in each event qualify for the Regional Championship, April 27th, at Flagler Palm Coast which means DP will send Bartczak as well as Tatyana Washington, who placed third in the 100m hurdles, Ebone Fortilien, who placed fourth in the 100m, as well as the fourth place 4 x 100 relay team of Iyanna Ardis, Franchesca Cadet, Fortilien and Robelina Michel. Top eight finishers that picked up team points also included Izabella Smith in pole vault (fifth), Jadzia Young in the 300m hurdles (sixth), Jemiah Baker in the 100m hurdles (seventh) and 300m hurdles (eighth), Robelina Michel in the 200m (seventh), Morgan Pinnock in shot put (seventh), the 4 x 800m relay team of Jada St. Cyr, Savannah Alexander, Brittany Damon and Roxanne Deisseroth (seventh), the 4 x 400m relay team of Courtney Afram-Gyening, Iyanna Ardis, Francheca Cadet and Domanique Douglas (seventh) and Kambria Barry in the long jump (eighth).
